Hope this is the right section...

Can somebody give me a heads up on a seller for HTC Desire screen covers please?
I've been ripped off already with a batch that are far too big and are marked with fine lines running down them (but bought them a while ago and can't remember where from  Embarrassed )

Thanks for the help,

Edit: sorry, should have said... just screen cover not whole front phone type!

I bought the CrocFol.  They sold the coupons in the shop where I bought my Desire.
Went to their website, entered the code that was on the coupon, selected the phone and 3 days later there were 2 protectors in my (postal) mail.  Perfect fit, no problems with the proximity sensor either.

@stewarta13wsb
I'm in the UK and found the cheapest place was Amazon although there are plenty of places that do sell them online, not sure about in store.
The details are HTC SP P360

Firstly one cant moan that much due to the price but i wasnt particularly happy with this product. I have had these screen protectors for all the previous phones i have had and can say this provider has been the worst.

The protector its self was not the correct shape as the screen and does not fit neatly with the edges with the screen (its a few mm too small). It just makes the beautiful front look ugly and displaced, even placed as best as you can. It also had some scratches on one of the protector before i applied it to the screen, so it looks like it had been used, but i do not know that for sure. lastly very slow delivery even with the upgraded postage.

No help here. I walked into a HTC store in a shopping mall to get my screen installed. I went to a flea market to get a bootleg rubber iPhone case for my Desire, then finally found a silicone one in an IT mall near my office.

The official HTC SP P360 was a perfect fit for me, I can not tell that it is on.  I was debating going for a Zagg invisibleShield but after a real pain of an installation on my wife's phone I went for the HTC.  To be fair to Zagg they did replace the first protector free of charge and the 2nd went on a lot better.

Hi Peeps!

I have been using Clear Screen Protectors I picked up on Ebay!!  There great and 5 Protectors for £2.00..

But after reading a few posts on here I am worried Im losing fully functionality of the Desire..

I.E The Proximity Sensor!!  Will this be affected??  And what is it anyway?? As there is no options for on/off as such..

Hope that's not too silly a question..

Thanks..

Markyboy,

The proximity sensor consists of 2 dark blue dots in the top left corner of the screen (actually in the black border around it).  It's function is to disable the display in-call if it detects that your ear is close to (or against) the screen.  You can see them, but you'd need the right light and angle to do so.

Some screen covers will have a cutout around the sensor, some won't.  My Crocfol covers don't have cutouts and don't interfere with the sensor, but I've heard of covers that do mess things up (usually the cheaper ones).  Considering the prices mentioned here, I seem to be paying quite a lot more than the others tho.  13 euros for 2 covers.

phantomskinz looks perfect, do you recommend the full or just the screen. How often do you need to change the screen protector with "normal use" also is it anti glare?

I have zagg invisible shield for this protecting all my touch screen phones and I need to say that they are a lot better than I previously thought, I would further recommend you to use a this one as this long lasting and I have been personally using then for 2 years now without and scratches or problems on my phone, so I think there won‘t be any problem for this one. I bet, I can alterably also try for Scratch guard as I have heard may praise for it from my friends.
