Hey guys,

Anyone considering an Otterbox case for their HTC Desire?

I like the look of it.  Certainly seems more waterproof than the default phone is.

I use my Desire for geocaching and I love the ruggedised look of that Defender, it would be perfect for me if it was waterproof.
Good price too at £30.  Grin

I tend to buy an Otterbox for every device I have.

I found out about Otterbox several years ago and I am hooked on them.

It was like torture waiting for them to release the Otterbox for the desire and the second it went on sale I snatched one up.

Had it two days later and was super impressed.

Not to mention that their customer service is amazing.  I accidentally tore the silicone on my old iPhone case and they sent me a new one... no questions asked and no charge.

If they make a case for a device I have.... I will buy it.

I should point out.... it does not make the phone waterproof....

It just offers good protection.

A little pricey for me... A cheap silicone case costs me about RM20 ~ USD 6

I am not really big on cases like that..Too bulky for my tight jeans..lol  Grin try something like this it might work better.

any reviews about commuter vs defender?
i think defender is more like defender and also i think it looks not that solid. the only think i am not sure is the build in screen protector. i mean the feel and the view.
any suggestions are welcome. thnx

I got the commuter, still slides out of your pocket pretty easy, the defender seems more aimed at purses/belt clips. There screen protectors are crap IMO. I had a blackberry and that protector scratched way to easy. So i went to bestskinsever.com for a zagg style one for $5us. Had one of these on my old hero and loved it.

I have a Defender case and i love it! The screen protector is in the top cover. It is a hard clear lens and it does a great job too. I say go for it, you will not be dissapointed.
