i just got my from ebay
it s not a brand so do not ask what brand it is Smiley
but it does the job for under 10$, it took more than a month to get here, so
but hey i only got it for one purpose and one purpose only
to make me use my cell (especially to answer calls )when I'm using my gloves (you know Canada, Winter, -30°C ,etc.... )
that s why I miss my HTC Pro and HD2 ,cause of the physical calling buttons

oh well, again my stylus does the trick, the hassle is where to put it ,for now it s loosely attached the leather case
maybe i should have gone for the mini stylus eh?

No. The Desire does not come with hand-writing recognition software.

No, it's nothing to do with the shape of the point.

I use the third-party FlexT9 input.  It supports tap, trace (Swype-like), writing (letters) and speech all in the same input panel.
The stylus should work well for the writing mode.

It's all in the same input interface, so I can use whichever method is most convenient at the time without having to change input settings.

As for stylus storage, if you don't use your headphone jack, you could attach a strap/leash there.
Or go for something like a retractable reel thing. Smiley

I have just bought my second or third stylus for my desire and its a m a z i n g !
Its a capacative stylus or something that actually conducts to the tip oinstead of using the rubber or foam tip where you have to press hard.  This is almost better than an extension of your finger.

Take a look at http://www.beststylus.com/ thay have a range that took me half an hour to choose from and it arrived faster than a speeding bullet and I'm in the UK which normally slows things down.

Try one - you'll never regreat it !!
