how do u register chrome to phone on your desire

I have had my desire for a few months now and im very pleased with it.  I have recently updated to the android version 2.2 and having looked on you-tube about some of the new features and have found then all very excting new additions. I was partucularly excited about chrome to phone. I have upload the extention chrome to phone on my chrome google search page and the app for my desire.  I am unable to register my desire and link it to my google page. It does keeps saying google apps are not compatiable??? surely the is is the whole point that it uses google apps?? Can anyone tell me how i get chrome to phone register my phone. I have open a google email account via the comp and the one that opens  automatically via the desire.

i open another gmail account via the computer. I already had gmail account that automatically opened on the desire. neither of these will register. I sign in using the same gmail acount as i try to log in via the phone. i think thant it has something to dso with the " Gmail apps not compatible". Not sure what a google app is? Surely the whole point of using this is that its a google app you use on ur phone. really dont know why it wont register or how to make it register. Cant find any instructions anywhere that are comprihensive and take u step by step through the process and void any pitfalls like google app non combatibility. Any help would be appreiciated

  have not got that far yet. i have the app on my phone and i have chrome on my comp but if i run the app on phone to register my phone it fails . cant get throught the reg process. thnk t has somethng to do with chrome to phone not supporting goggle apps( Whatever that means, but this warning is everywhere on the instructions for chrome to phone, but means nothing to me??) Surely chrome to phne on the phone IS and app??? Does anyone know how u register ur device via the GOOGLE APP on the phone is google apps are not suported

its an app on ur phone that regsters it. and its as this point it fails it reminds u that chrome is not compatible with google apps

you put chrome  and extentiopn on your comp then u have to load the app on ur phone
you have to run the app on your phone to register your phone so chrome can send stuff to ur phone. i run the app on the phone it asks for the google addy ur using on both to access ur phone. the phone will not register it say google app account dont work  I set up my google account on my phone and on the comp to see if either word  but no luck it just say google app account not working  look on the chrome to phone instruction on line it says it there
