Hi All.
I have just rooted in order to move more apps over to sd card because of the common problem on the Desire.........internal memory.  Angry
My question is, which of the stock apps can I safely delete?
Flickr, Footprints, Footprints Widget, Friend Stream, News, News and Weather, PeeP, Quickoffice, Stocks, Teeter,
I never use any of these but have read that care is required when deleting stock as some are required by the OS to run properly?
There must be a few I can get rid of as every single mb is precious on this device!
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

i think the safest application to delete is stock, peep, news, news, friendstream, teeter, flickr, footprints, footprints widget, but don't remove the quickoffice it is a important application to view the document attach in your email without downloading it am i correct?

If you are rooted, then try the below guide, to create a partition in your SD card that can be used to move your apps using link2sd. The advantage is, the apps will still be available when you connect your phone to PC. So no issues with widgets vanishing or apps failing. Also link2SD manages the app storage which is brilliant as you can just relax without worrying about where the app gets installed. After installing about a 100 apps, I still have close to 100 MB free, in my internal storage.

All download apps can be moved to this SD card partition using link2SD. However system apps will still remain in the internal storage which is fine. I had some issues with partitioning as I used a Windows m/c. If you have any Unix flavor, use GParted. On Windows, use Gparted on USB disk to boot which will enable you to partition the SD card in the way required by Android.
This can be done using the below guide.
http://gparted.sourceforge.net/liveusb.php
Use the Tuxboot method in the above link which is the safest option.

I am just curious on deleting the system apps. Even with root access, in the Manage Applications, I am not getting an option to uninstall them. How do you plan to do it?
