My phone keeps downloading Adobe Flash Player 11.0 updates.
It then tells me my phone is low on storage space.
I go to "manage applications" and uninstall updates, but then 24hrs later my phone downloads them again, night after night ??

There is no option to remove adobe flash player as the only options are uninstall updates and all other options are not highlighted e.g: force stop, clear data, move to sd card...

How do I stop this from happening ?
And do I need this application ?

Thanks
jazzyshaggs

Run the "Market" app.
Press menu, and select "My apps".
Scroll down to "Adobe Flash player 11", and tap it.
Uncheck the "Allow automatic updates" box.

On my phone the "allow automatic updates" box for Flash player mysteriously checks itself.  This is a really annoying issue.  I managed to go for weeks without it forcing itself on me but a few days ago I found version 11.1 had been installed overnight, together with a big Maps update, wiping out all the spare memory I had.

I contacted Adobe when this first started happening and they claim the problem is with the Android Market and that there is nothing they can do about it, but I have my doubts.  Because the application is native to the OS I think it is able to bypass user settings.
