I have downloaded Sygic Western Europe. It works very well in the UK where it is connected all the time via O2. I was in France about a month back and wanted to use it. When connected by wifi (eg at my hotel) it knew where I was and could calculate routes. When I was not connected it could not update and provide ongoing guidance. What do I need to change in my Sygic Settings and how to enable the DHD to track and provide guidance all the time? I'm going to Holand tomorrow and need an answer ASAP! Thanks for the help.

Regards, Mike

The Sygic Website has this advice:

Android users:

You need data connection only for:

•Downloading application from Android Market

•Real-Time Traffic, when you need 3G connection for receiving traffic info (optional)

•Reporting police traps (optional)

•Activating product

•Downloading maps and necessary files for application

For both devices is data connection functional also for Assisted GPS. It means, that your device is using data connection, which speeds up your GPS fix.

•For iOS users it is set by default

•Android users can set this option in Settings>Location & security>Use wireless networks (optional)

Looks easy? Is the instruction

Settings>Location & security>Use wireless networks

for the DHD Settings or Sygic? I can't find that sequence on either!!!!!!!
