Hi All.

I have a Volvo C30 and my HTC Desire will not connect properly with the Bluetooth phone system.  It pairs, but shows as a headset connection.  It won't download the phonebook to the car, and even if I try to dial direct once it's paired the connection drops before the call gets through.

Please help - I'm fed up with pulling over to answer the phone, and Volvo are unwilling to help as my mate's i-phone and my wife's HTC Desire both connect and download absolutely fine.

HELP!!!

Doc.

Have you looked at the properties in the phone for the linked car phone device?
Discoverability etc?

Is this the first time you have attempted to connect this phone to this vehicle? I had my Desire perfectly connected to my car stereo bluetooth and then I downloaded an MP3 music download app and it caused no end of problems until I uninstalled the app.
If the phone and car will pair but not connect, go into the bluetooth settings on the phone and long press the name of the car. Another screen will open up which gives you options to connect for phone and media. Are they both ticked?
Just some thoughts.

Go into the bluetooth settings and long press the car kit. Select properties and then re-tick the boxes to allow it to connect.
