Deire battery life.........not normal questions

I have  bought a 2400mAh battery for my phone (for £12.00 it was worth a try)
I have charged it as per the normal battery for a first charge
More that 8hrs switched on make sure green light on
Switched off then charged again till green light comes on. But it don't. i think the normal charger has not got it in it to do this.

So, question, any one know of a charger with more oomph.

I had better add that the battery is 5mm thicker. I though this would look/feel bas but in fact it feels better. You seem to get a better hold on it.
Onr the first charge described above it ran as the normal battery except i left navigation running for 2 1/2 hours accidently. At the end of the day there was still about 40% charge in it.
I have left it till this weekend to give it another charge to see if i can get the full charge cycle. 

Yeah... you risk frying the phone on anything higher than the original charger. All charging is routed through the phone's mobo first, and there's a smart circuitry to prevent over-charging (hence the lighting up of the yellow LED). Anything higher than the prescribed original is risque, in my opinion.

Problem could be due to calibration of the battery's smart chip. Try to take out the phone, use it intensively and re-charge it. Other than that, I have no other ideas.

I am charging from the AC supply. Anyone know what charge rate is needed for 2400 mHh battery.
