i have searched location in maps but want to delete the searches
i cannot for the life of me figure out how to delete them?

Yes, irritating to say the least. Had same problem. Try deleting your search history in your gmail account settings. Or there's an app called History Killer or similar in the Market that may do the job. Good luck!

The app I mentioned is called HistoryEraser.
