I'm using the original HTC Desire. Installed the official 2.3 update since release. And today I am getting a force close message all the time and the phone can not connect to ANY network. That means I can't make any calls or use the internet. I can connect to wi-fi but it can't connect to my mobile network. I get the empty bars plus the X for my reception.

This just started today and seemingly out of nowhere after the phone has been working flawlessly since the upgrade.

The force close message just cycles through non-stop.

Please help!

Sounds like the OS got messed up.  Try rebooting the phone and see if that helps.  If it doesn't, you'll probably need to do a factory reset.  Keep in mind that the factory reset will remove all user data from the phone, so be sure to back up anything important.
