Hi everyone,

I've ordered a protection case for my HTC Desire from OtterBox. It is a highly protective case that is made of three layers. you can find more about it in the following url.

http://www.otterbox.com/HTC-Desire-Defender-Series-Case/HTC2-DESRE,default,pd.html?dwvar_HTC2-DESRE_color=20&start=1&cgid=desire-cases.

I've tried it before with a Blackberry Storm and it was excellent.

So since i bought my new HTC desire and I wanted to get the same for it. I already ordered it from Amazon.com. But now i'm reading all about the overheating problem that HTC might have. and i was wondering how does the cooling system work on such devices like the Desire? does having the device FULLY covered by the protection case, increases the possibility of overheating!?

No. I don't think so... I used a silicone case previously and have shifted to a two-tone plastic case when the old one wore out. Neither gave me heat problems, so I don't think this will be an issue.

But I stand by this; protect your gadgets with as good a protection as possible. It is expensive and deserve some expensive protection.

Just received the shipment with my new OtterBox case for HTC Desire. And i tell you, its awesome.
fits perfectly on my device. and Thank God it was already on when my device fell off from a 1.5 feet high table onto the solid ground. the rubber skin around the hard cover gave some sort of shock absorption.

Thanks for the tip though Smiley

Try to get something more solid and less penetrable next time. My soft silicone case was penetrated by the tarmac when I dropped it from my lap after driving. I switched to a more resilient case last week.
