Hi, first post!

I am thinking of buying the Desire, but first I have a question that only regular users could answer:

Since I didn't like the stock headset that I got with my Nokia, I preferred to use my ordinary headphones with it. When making phonecalls, I used my headphones for listening, and held the phone in front of me, talking into the built in microphone of the nokia.

I bought the samsung galaxy s expecting to use it the same way (i don't like the headset) but discovered that it simply can not execute this simple task. (iPhone and Nokia have done it for years.)

So, my question is: can the HTC desire do it? If not - do you know of any work-around
for this issue, or any other android phone that can do it?

answer today from developer:

"I am sorry, this is not possible in the Android SDK. We cannot change where the audio (input and ouput) get routed to. Furthermore from what I noticed wherever they do get routed, they are always together, I have never seen it split the mic input and the audio ouput to two different devices."
