Hello,

I have a HTC desire
android version 2.2, software number 2.29.405.5

I have never changed the rom, but quite a while ago I rooted my phone, and since that the
system enhancement update 6.34 is available but will not work. (clockworkmod recovery on startup says - E:failed to verify whole-file signature and E:signature verification failed, Installation aborted, then lets me reboot. (even with space freed, 34mb).

I am having issues with internal storage space, constantly deleting data and apps.
I have a 4gb card installed (about 1.5gb free).  I also have a 16gb card which I would like to use.

My Q is where should I go from here?

My main aim to be able to install more apps without deleting ones from my phone.
I have apps to sd installed, but only some apps are movable.
I would like to have the phone as up to date as possible too, eg with latest ota updates.

What are my best options?

Regards

Install titanium backup, make a complete backup, then install rom manager, go to the download menu and choose a rom :-) if you want more space, go for oxigen rom. Its a lightweight android 2.3.7 you will like very much. There is a better looking rom too, cyanogen mod 7. It looks and feels better than oxigen, but with the cost of drive space.

Remember to ALWAYS take a backup from ur original rom, you can do that in the bootloader (backups from within rom manager sometimes fail due to bad md5) the 16gm card can come in handy.

After finding and installing the desired rom, install titanium backup again, and restore.

Good luck!
