No idea on the HD's battery life.  However I do know that calibration doesn't work on that one.  I suggested it to a few HD owners and none of them noticed any improvement.
Mine's an HD - so I guess this answers why it didn't work for me. Sigh  Sad

Thanks anyway XSaenen.

Thanks for this. I've decided to stick to my Desire. Battery life is important to me. The only thing I really wanted with the HD was the bigger ROM. I'd just as well wait for HD's successor or something. Anyone knows what HTC have in the pipeline?

a quick question
does the fact of always charging the Desire affect (in bad way)the performances of the battery?
i mean i have a charger at work and 2 at home and the cell is roughly always hooked
so do i need to stop doing that and just waiting untill the battery is near the end (15% left)before charging?Huh

Lithium-Ion batteries should be fine when connected mostly to the charger, but according to the experts it is healthy to let them run (almost) flat at least 2 times per month and then recharge them completely.

Yes, but don't forget that if the phone is used when charging, it could damage the battery, following what XSaenen told me.

Only durig the initial charge, as it is important at that point that the battery never discharges.

I still wouldn't recommend it afterwards, but for a different reason.  When you're holding the phone in your hand while it's plugged in, you'll put great stress on the USB port as you move it around.  My Nokia and Mitsubishi phones ALL needed repairs involving loose charge pins or connectors at some point.  Most of them simply weren't repaired but replaced by the new best model.  Even my SE C905 got replaced because of that issue.

Dear all,

What if I did this sequence twice?

Is it something like first -> enable, then second -> disable?

Pls advise...

If you do it twice, there won't be any difference as opposed to doing it just once.

I tried this, and I did not notice a difference, I'm very sad. I don't even use my phone for much besides calls, texting, facebook & emails. I really love this ohone and am wondering if there's anything else I could try, I already changed my wallpaper, turned off wifi/gps, dimmed my screen etc.. and also is there any good battery apps out there? mine says I have 6:40minutes of talk time, some of you say yours lasts 55hours, is there anyway of seeing this physically on the phone? any energy saving tips are appreciated. Thank you (sorry I'm definitely a noob)
