My SD card is fully formatted etc, but is totally empty. How do I backup my files, pics & contacts to it please?  Huh

The backup is automatic.  The Desire should create a number of folders when you first setup the phone.

When you install a new card then the folders should be recreated.  If this is not the case try turning off the phone and then back on again.

Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for the reply, have done all of that and still have an empty SD card.
BTW it wasn't a dodgy SD card I bought, it was a legit one, if that helps

Hmm, strange that.  Another poster found that when they inserted the new card and switched their phone on the folders were recreated.

Is there nothing on the SD card at all?  When you formatted it did you so do in the phone or on a PC?  have you connected it to a Mac at all?
