It has come to my attention that when adding items to the stocks app, the search history is saved somewhere and keeps showing up when I want to add more. For instance: typing 'do' in the search box already pops up 'DOW JONES COMPOSITE'.

So far, I have tried deleting the found companies from the stocks list -> no result.
Also, I have removed all data from the stocks app at the Applications menu -> no result.

There is nothing to find in the menus of the stocks app, nor does longpressing any search result pop up a delete option. Google isn't helping out either, as there seems to be no one else with this issue. Just to be clear: this does NOT have anything to do with the 'Quick Search Box'.

Does anyone have an idea on how to delete the stocks search history? It's not really that big of a deal, but I don't see any reason for not deleting it either.

Go to the all apps page

Click on settings

Click on applications

Click on manage applications

Click on running tab at top

Scroll down to stocks (HTC corporation)

Then click clear data

This should clear the cache completely but also clears all stock files etc
