I recently had my Desire HD unlocked so I can use my Vodafone SIM. Previously it was locked to Orange.
I have no idea why, but since the unlock, my downloaded apps (Angry Brds etc) have disappeared from the phone, but when I try to download them again, Market tells me they are already installed.
I have already wiped my SD card and formatted it, but that made absolutely no difference. The Apps in question were stored on the SD card.
Additionally, since the unlock my phone is unable to connect to Android Market, saying it can't connect to the Google server to verify my account.
My question is: If I do a factory reset on the bloody thing, will it relock it to Orange, thereby putting me back to square one?

G'Day Dave

I had a similar issue with Market but not as a result of unlocking my phone.  I fixed it by going to Android Market (Google Play now) and downloading a simple free app.  Somehow, this recreated the link between my Desire and the Market.  I was then able to download and install the apps I already had on the phone.

Cheers and hope this helps.
