Recently bought a HTC Desire (Froyo), got tired of accidentally thumbing the action buttons at the bottom of the screen, and switched to ADW Launcher, which I like, I can make a nice minimalist screen, BUT... the HTC clock widget doesn't appear on the widgets list. I don't like the giant flip clock with the weather and the pictures (nor any of the downloadable clock apps I've seen so far). And I do like the little clock that came with the phone (widget style 5 when in Sense UI and choosing a clock). But I can't find it when in ADW Launcher.
I'm considering rooting the phone. If it's rooted, do the HTC widgets become available to alternative launchers like ADW? Is there an easier way to get at the HTC clock widget then rooting?
*sigh* I bought the phone a week ago and I'm still customizing.
