Hi everyone,

So this is probably a very basic question & probably has an easy solution.. but I can't seem to figure it out.

I want to organize my photos so I can put certain photos into certain folders. So when I go to "photos" I can view different folders there. People said to just add a folder to my sd card and that should organize it..?

When I connect my Desire to my computer, I select "disk drive," and then there are a bunch of folders.... I go to "DCIM" and i tried to add a folder there, and then put the photos i want.. but that doesn't work out, haha.

people have said go to the "top level" or something.. how do you get there? And people also say there is a "Pictures" folder.. where is that?

I'm sorry for all the questions. If you could be detailed in your answers, it is very much appreciated!

Thanks so much.  Grin

1. Use ASTRO file manager to access files on your phone. This is important.
2. If you are using the default "Gallery" app, you just need to create the folder on your SD card's root. It will say "mnt/sdcard/" at the top
3. If you are going to copy it from your PC, it is just any folder on your SD card's root folder. So, when you attach the phone in and select "Disk Drive", you just create the folder on the root, where all those funny folders are at.
4. I really like how you are specific with your description... makes it easy to diagnose your problems.

p/s: If you are still facing problems, gimme about 8 hrs to get home so I can post screenshots.

Cheers

Screenies will have to wait 'til I got home, showered, dined, fed my betta, washed the dishes, pleased my girlfriend, and so on and so forth. I need about 6 hours from now before I can even lay hands on my mistress (that's what my PC is called, no reward for guessing who).

My work PC has limited access (I can hardly upload anything) and programs, plus I don't have the SDK in, so I can't post screenshots of the phone screen...

Perhaps if you are desperately in need of getting this done... PM me your e-mail address and I'll mail you the PC screenshots.
