How to create a separate contacts list/phonebook

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if it's possible to create a separate 'contacts list' on my HTC Desire. I sync'd my phone to outlook and was hoping to have my business contacts separated from my personal contacts. All of my contacts were combined, which isn't ideal.

Is it possible to create, for instance, an additional program similar to "people" to have a completely independent phonebook?

Any comments/advice would be most welcome.

I tried what you suggested but only managed to come up with 'my groups' (i.e. co-workers, family, favourites, friends).

I've searched high and low and now wonder if there actually is a way to create an independent phonebook. I'm beginning to think that it might not be possible...

Any other suggestions?

I understand your struggle, but I have not come across an app in the market that can do what you want.

BUT I have a workaround. In your "People" app; hit the "menu" hard button. Press View and now you can filter out the contact sources you don't want to see. Hope this helps
