I'm replacing the AMOLED and Touch Screen. I've disassembled the device down to the chassis and touch screen but cannot figure out how to separate them.

I've looked for tear-down guides that cover this, but cannot find any that illustrate the process.

Does anyone know?

I've now published the first half of my tear-down of the Desire. I'll be completing it when the parts arrive and the device is reassembled.

I've now figured out how to remove the touch-screen. It is glued in place so it requires firm pressure with a blade or wedge tool to part the bond.

I've added photos of the process to my HTC Desire tear-down guide.

Hi,

Great that you posted this! I am in the process of installing a new digitizer.
Got the old one just removed. Just a small tip to make it easier to remove the digitizer form the chassis. I used a hairdryer to heat it up a little after that I could remove the digitizer without any force form the chassis with the wedgetool.
