I'm using W7 Ultimate x64 and had no issues with the latest version of HTC Sync and Outlook 2007 x86 - all fine and dandy.

Upgraded last night to Office 2010 x64 and now Sync won't see my Desire - any reasons for this? I've not tried another USB port as yet so will do so later this evening but thought I'd see if anyone else has got it working.

This is the full retail Office 2010, not the beta/technical preview btw

This is the type of reason why I held off Getting Office 2010.
Anything new from microsux usually brings new glitches / problems with 3rd party devices.  Undecided

Ive also have this issue.  I've had my Desire for a couple of weeks now and tried to setup HTC Sync with Windows 7 64 and office 2010 64 and receive the error that there is no default mail client please set outlook as default ect.

I've no issues using Win XP and Office 2007, works perfectly.

Does anyone know when the 2.2 firmware is available, this could be the fix Huh?

Had the same issues - HTC help finally gave the following instructions which have sorted out the problem.

Firstly make sure you are using the most current HYC Sync software from their website V 3.0

Hit APPLICATIONS, then DEVELOPMENT. Activate USB DEBUGGING.

Your phone will automatically sync now

Hope this helps.

Only problem is that calender will only sync one way - computer to phone.

I have exactly the same issue. Does anyone know how to fix this? Why HTC do not fix this problem?

I had the same problem - and a downgrade to Offcie 32-bit fixed it - now ALL IS FINE.
