in the interests of privacy i would like to stop my texts showing on the stand by screen, it means someone can see who a text is from and read part of the message without going into my phone.
can this be disabled.
Enter the messages app
menu, More, Settings
The first option is "Received notification", "Show notification in the status bar when messages are received".
Turn it off
i got the latest update today, i wish they would stop changing the look of things without giving an option to use the original style, it now feels a bit gimmicky.
Haven't received any updates here in Australia, so I'm not sure what has changed.
Have you looked in the 'Personalize" menu to see if the older look is still available?
