when i plug my desire into my laptop it does nothing,except charge,but i have the settings on disk drive,i want to transfer music etc to and from pc  and phone what am i doing wrong,i have htc on my desktop but it says no device connected but it is
someone please help

Menu > Settings > Connect to PC > Default connection type
Change from Charge only

Which setting? The one described in the post above?
When you connect to the PC, do you have a notification saying "Charge only" ?
Can you change that to "Disk Drive", and make sure you enable it before closing that screen?
