Just thought I'd make a thread where people could post their Desire wallpapers.

Mine come from various sources, and were all edited in Paintshop Pro to fit the Desire's 960x800 wallpaper size. 


Ok, so here we go ...




Promo picture of the PC game "Eve Online".  My current wallpaper




Came across his on the internet and thought it would look nice on the Desire.  It does.




Carbon fibre.  Purely for race fans or people who want to save the battery a bit.  This is one I made myself




Found this one on the internet too.  The angel fits nicely into the icons on the bottom half of my home screen.

very impressed with the girl in the woods wallpaper, nice one..............having just got my phone, now got to learn how to make it into wallpaper

When you put it on the SD card, it'll show up in the gallery.  Open the pic, push the menu button, select "Set as", select "wallpaper".

Then you'll see a green square over part of the picture.  put your finger on the edge and you'll see arrows appearing on the sides.  You'll then be able to make it larger and smaller.  Drag it untill it covers the entire picture and pus "Save".

2 options. 

Option 1 : browse to this page with your phone, long-click the angel pic untill the menu comes up, then select "Set as wallpaper".

Option 2 : download the picture to your PC, plug in the phone and set it as Disk drive in the pull-down menu. 
Then open the SD card on your PC.
Make a folder named Wallpapers (or Pictures, or anything you fancy). 
Copy the picture there. 
Disconnect the phone. 
On the phone's main screen, press the "Menu" button
select "Wallpaper"
select "Gallery"
select the folder you just made
select the picture

If you like weather/nature pics you can find a lot of great shots in the photo area of accuweather.com.

Edit: If you are viewing the wallpapers on your PC and want to get them to your phone right click on an image and then click on "email" or "Send Image". You can then send the image to an email address accessible from your phone. This works for me in IE8 and Firefox on WinXP.

Firefox sends a link and IE sends the image as an attachment.
