Hey,

My HTC Desire acts little bit weird. By pressing power button to wake up from sleeping mode the screen stays blank. Only hard buttons flash, have to press power button 5-10 times in order to get home screen back.
Also, the screen stays blank during incoming calls as well. the same story here only buttons light up.
All my sensors work perfectly including the proximity sensor.

ps I do not have any covers on the screen and do not use any app. killers.

Any tips?

This happened to me last night after installing Mapdroyd.
I had to pull the battery, sim and sd card and refit them all to get the phone to start up. Uninstalled the app right away and no problems since then.

I believe, I did the same thing. Was installing various apps. and one of them caused the problem, but I can not recall which one was it.
Did factory rest and got rid off all 3rd party apps. However, the issue still remains Angry

If even a factory reset doesn't solve it, the only option is to take the phone back to the shop.  HTC can flash it completely, but users can't ... unless they root it, in which case you might void the warranty.

That is the offer from HTC service support that I got. I have to ship the phone to Romania, Croatia or Czech for further diagnosis. In addition to that I have to cover the shipping fee. The thing is that I purchased the device in Tallinn, Estonia and right now I am in Tbilisi, Georgia. I do still have a one year warranty from the shop, but it is in other country   Angry
