Hello all. I have seen a couple of guys/ gals mention thier phones shut down when they use thier camera. Well Mine is now doing that. I went through the rigmarole of a factory reset and that did nothing so dont waste your time doing that! I have upgraded to 2.2 but the fault did not emerge until 2 weeks after that upgrade so i cant see that the two are connected. Now this morning i tried the camera and it crashed the phone. Tried 10 mins later and it worked fine. Tried it just now and phone has gone into re- boot mode. I have been advised to send it back to be re-programmed by my network provider and will be sending it off tomorrow. So if this happens to you just pop round to your local mobile store and get it looked at / fixed theres nothing you can do... Cry a real shame as this phone is quite simply excellent in most other departments (apart from battery of course)

I have had exactly the same problem. Tried clearing the cache and factory reset. Did the re-programming work? How long did it take?

Thanks

What provider are you with?

My 3 UK HTC Desire seems to of done exactly this as well.
Has your network been able to fix the device?

Hi

A few days after i posted this the problem went away Cheesy so i never bothered sending the phone away. I assumed that it was as a result of an update/ fix being sent over the network but i certainly didnt send it away nor did i apply and fix MANUALLY. Have a chat with your provider and see what they think. I am on vodaphone. Hope that helps?
