Do a soft reset first. Then try to clear the cache of the Car Home app. Finally, try a factory reset.

Bluetooth on? Also, check the car home settings. It might have accidentally thought you are in your car...

I had this problem for a few days too.

Pretty simple solution:

1. Go to a homescreen where you have room for an icon.
2. Click the arrow on the bottom right to bring up the 'add to homescreen' menu
3. Choose 'Shortcut'
4. Choose 'Settings'
5. Choose 'Car Dock'. (I know I never knew this existed either.)

Once the icon appears on the screen, click it and un-check 'Auto Launch'. This fixed my problem immediately and permanently (going on two weeks now).

Hope this helps.

Is the app named "Car Home" or "Car Dock"? If it is the former, you might need to uninstall it and re-install from the market.

Uninstall the damn app. It's poorly coded and it's hijacking your phone.
