Is there any way that I can prevent this from happening? I also do remember that it was not like this all the time. I do not recall after what (app?/bluetooth?) it is behaving like this. I find it very disturbing. What's the way forth to get a proper solution? Be careful not to bend or set the contact springs. The idea is to check if anything slightly conductive is bridging anything. I will keep an eye on when it occurs and if my phone was exposed to certain wheather conditions or dirt that might cause the connectors to bridge. Loads of users are suffering from this (3 plus me in my company alone). It all started when the phone downloaded a systems/software update. All 4 developed the same fault immediately after this. Suggest HTC support looks there? When I switched the phone back on,all was good.
