Well, My Desire is less than a year old. Its really awsome, but since i bought it, I had problem with overheathing, wich is common. But after some time, i ignored it since i stopped playing on it, and not using my phone network. But later these weeks my phone freezes at start up. The first time it happened, factory reset worked quite nice.  But now its totally broke. Ive tried much of the stuff, and checked the forum...

I cant really turn in the phone if its not so neccesary, because somehow my water indicator i pink. Is there any chance someone got a guide for fixing the freeze..?

at the moment, im recharging it.

Helps are unbeleavable helpfull! <3 really need to get my phone back!

Hi MyownDesire, welcome.

I'm afraid you won't be too happy with my reply.
The factory reset is the most powerful tool a normal user has.  If a factory reset doesn't solve the problem, it's always a hardware issue and sending the phone in for repairs is the only solution.

Seeing as the warranty is void because of the water sensor, expect a bill in the region of 2000 Kroner (calculated from 220 UK, which is a ballpark figure according to similar topics).
That's just a guesstimate tho, as the price may vary depending on the country and the amount of parts/work needed to fix it.

Thanks for the fast reply, the phone got some water on the screen.. and i think thats one of the reason why its pink (water indicator). talked with an HTC employee this weekend, they give a shit about my phone since the indicator is dmg, but after some hours of talking. They told me that they will take a look on the phone, either send it back, or fix it. It really depends on the damage.

But is there any thing i can do? someone told me about that my Os might be outdated. and so on. Is there any way to fix it?

Anyway, thanks for fast help! :-)

The OS may or may not be running the latest update, but that shouldn't cause problems.  I know there are Desires that still run Android 2.1 without a problem.
Regardless of which exact version you are running, a factory reset (almost) always solves any software-related issues.  You tried it and it didn't help, so there's a 99.999999% chance that your phone has a hardware issue.  Unless you know someone who has the necessary electronics skills and the access to all parts, I'm afraid only the HTC technicians are going to be able to solve it.

Keep in mind that I'm not a HTC employee.  I'm merely a regular customer like the rest of you, so I gain nothing if I tell you to send yours in.
I don't like telling people to send their phones in, because I'm familiar with the waiting and the 20 pathetic excuse for a phone they will lend you (if you're lucky) while you're waiting for your trillion-dollar phone to be repaired.  Trust me, if there was any other way to fix your problem, I would have mentioned it.
