The (warm) phone booted and everything seems to be there.
Initially those programs that are installed on the SD card came up as the little Android robot looking from the side of the icon. A few minutes later and everything got resotred to normal.
I would like to know why this happened almost a week into my upgrade of the latest LeeDroid ROM.
From now on, I intend to follow a ROM update with a manual cold boot.
Hope this helps!!
Usually, most updates recommend a full wipe, but unless it is a beta ROM, I seldom see these problems cropping up.
As for the lag, usually when you have the apps in your SD card, it might take a while for the icons to load... maybe try restarting the phone and see if the problem persists.
When I restarted again it worked as expected (apps on SD card, esp if you have a lot of them take their time to start).
What I can't figure out is why the problem manifested itself days after I updated the ROM. I've never been attentive at following the sequence of what happens when a new LeeDroid rom is flashed using ROM Manager on top of the preceeding LeeDroid ROM but I would presume the final stage of the update is a reboot.
Why did it work then?
One of the mysteries of life!!!!
