Hi,

After rooting the phone, I disabled the option to apply system updated. Is this reasoning correct?

Thanks

It depends on the ROM. I think older version of the Sense-like ROMs had that problem, but newer ones shouldn't. Which ROM are you using anyway?

Still using LeeDroid 2.1a and I never Unchecked the System Update box... never even noticed it! lol --- so I guess it doesn't matter. I'm guessing if there IS an update, you can always reject it Wink

You might wanna install LeeDroid 2.2e, there are significant improvements over the prior versions.

Is it possible for me to backup my exisiting ROM beforehand? I must admit that after rooting the phone I am really happy with the result; might be that I do not know what I am missing but it would be conforting to know that I can go back if I miss the current setup.

Too easy. Go into ROM Manager and select backup.
