Hi all, after about one year today I finally rooted my desire using the revolutionary method which also gives you s-off. Everything went ok, I'm happy to say but I have a couple of questions.
I installed rom manager from the market and when I press on the option download rom  (just to see what it shows me) I get the message (you must have clockworkmod recovery installed before continuing ! Install the recovery through ROM manager first. I am absolutely sure that revolutionary method installed clockworkmod as I used it to install the root file from the sd card necessary to root the phone. I'm a little worried to press ok when asked to install cwm from rom manager in case it somehow clashes with the current one, any advice on this. My other basic question is should my next step (before flashing a custom rom) be format my sdcard through clockworkmod and if so can anybody tell me the right configuration, ext, swap size, etc. I know I need to make manual sd card back up, in sakai4eva rooting guide it says I should flash custom rom THEN partion sdcard (Shouldn't it be the other way around, partition sdcard first then install custom rom, then custom rom would detect partioned sdcard). And last, I would like a gingerbread rom that gives me speed and lots of memory and it's easy to install (First flash !!!) any suggestions of what rom should I go for, CM7 or oxygen ? Thanks a lot for any advice... Grin
