So I rooted my phone a few days after I bought it. The only thing I use my root access for is the Market Enabler app which allows me to view paid apps(I'm from Denmark) in the Marketplace.
However with Froyo coming out soon(hopefully) and with Google's announcement at the 2010 I/O Keynote about the browser version of the Marketplace, I don't really need to have a rooted phone anymore. So I figured the first thing I'd do would be to update to the latest software version. But lo and behold the phone failed to update! It downloads the
OTA_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2-1.15.405.4_release_P4ohim1mtp6zggcyon.zip and it starts the install fine, but once the device has rebooted after updating, the system version is still
1.15.405.4!
Do I have to unroot my phone before updating? And if so, then how would I do it?
